Winter Drive-In for Chocolate Covered strawberries

TikTok has become my favorite social media platform for many reasons, but certainly for the collective knowledge of all of the lovely people on there. TikTok is the reason I found the winter drive through for chocolate covered strawberries. Tiktok is also the way I talked my friend and colleague – a fabulous Dutchbelle – into a little Friday adventure.

First off, you’re going to need a car to get there or a friend with a car. This is key.

The “white limo” as Dutchbelle calls it. And me, outside of said white limo document the experience in America Today rain coat, Dune boots and H&M dress.

The drive-in is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday only. *(times listed below). Get there early, I promise you will thank me. Why you might ask? The day my friend and I went – on a Friday at 11:00am – we were in line for well over 90minutes getting our freshly made waffles and chocolate covered strawberries. Was it worth the wait, absolutely? Would I have waited 2 hours +, well, let’s not get ahead of ourselves here.

One Dutchbelle and one Americanbelle… both bitchin.

So here’s how it works. You’ll follow the signs to a very large parking lot – clearly made for heavy goods vehicles. You’ll stay in your car and zig-zag through the line – Disney World style – and some nice man will come up to the car window and give you your menu (below).

Your menu consists of 5 different types of waffles, chocolate covered bananas, apples and of course strawberries; that’s what you came for after all. Chocolate covered strawberries come a few different ways – either in a little box or on a skewer, either way – they are DELICIOUS!

Your menu. It’s in Dutch, but since you’ll be in the car for 60 minutes before you order, you can practice. You’re welcome.

After some waiting you’ll get to a little hut. A very nice man will ask for your order, go wild here, you’ve just been waiting for about an hour and I assure you everything is fresh. You’ll pay and no more than 5 minutes later, you’ll receive your food.

So very happy about our treats. Also, the waffle kicked both of our asses. We both made it through about half of it before giving up.

And here’s a little TikTok I made about the experience
